Solicit funds and collect resources to promote and preserve African American History, support African American Genealogical Research, and expand public awareness of these contributions for all Americans.

The guiding principals in organizing the society were to honor

  • The Africans who summoned the will to survive the Middle Passage Hill and create a new people.
  • The African Americans from 1526 to the present, who succeeded in spite of unimaginable obstacles. 
  • The courageous Americans of conscience --of all colors and creeds--who have fourth tirelessly for Justice.
  • Our families on whose shoulders we stand.
